Gretchen Von Allmen, MD, is the chief of the division of child neurology, Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. Dr. Von Allmen has served as the interim chief since October 2020. She is also a professor at McGovern Medical School and director of the pediatric epilepsy program. Board certified in pediatric neurology, Dr. Von Allmen’s clinical interests center around pediatric epilepsy, including intractable pediatric epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, brain malformations, and infantile spasms. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Von Allmen has been recognized with the Child Neurology Foundation Research Award.
