Dr Iris Lin became interested in medicine after working on medical engineering projects during college. In medical school, she was drawn to neurology because of the fascinating disorders. She also enjoys the puzzle-solving aspect of the specialty. She is passionate about neurological movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, tremors and dystonia. Dr Lin believes in approaching every patient interaction with empathy, careful listening and a focus on quality of life. She thinks it is important to educate patients and empower them to be active participants in their own health journeys. She finds that inclusion of the patient's family in the healthcare team usually results in the best outcomes.
