The White Plains Hospital Neurosciences program is led by renowned physician Dr Rafael Ortiz. Dr Ortiz is board-certified in neurology and vascular neurology and has worked at the forefront of neuro-endovascular surgery for the last 20 years. He received a Recognition of Focused Practice in CNS endovascular surgery from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is currently the President of the American Heart Association NYC Board of Directors. After receiving his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico, Dr Ortiz completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was also named chief resident.
