Dr Holmes feels privileged to have the opportunity to help patients through some of their most vulnerable times. She is fascinated by the physiology of the human body, most of all the brain. The brain is our control center and influences the way we move, speak, perceive, and behave. Seizures and epilepsy unfortunately hijack that control, at least temporarily. Dr Holmes is interested in helping patients gain back control and resume the lifestyle they desire. This involves finding the right medication to keep seizures at bay without side effects, or considering other therapies (such as epilepsy surgery, devices, or dietary therapy) when medications are not enough. Dr Holmes is interested in new onset as well as medically refractory epilepsy.
