Debra Shabas, MD

Dr. Debra Shabas is a board-certified and award-winning neurologist specializing in multiple sclerosis. She completed residencies in internal medicine and neurology at the Cornell Medical Center and Albert Einstein School of Medicine, as well as a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases and electrophysiology at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Shabas practiced at the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Helen Hayes Hospital and at the NYU Multiple Sclerosis Center, developing a program for women with chronic neurological conditions and disabilities, later replicating the program at two nonprofit organizations. She has published on multiple sclerosis, disability, and disparities in care, and provides the highest level of care for her patients.
