David Altschul, MD—a graduate of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York?completed a general surgery internship, neurological surgery residency (he served as chief resident) and a fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at Montefiore. He also completed an endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, New York City. Dr Altschul is one of only a few surgeons in the region trained in both endovascular (interventional) and open neurological surgery for adult and pediatric patients.
