Dr Ahrens’ passion for pediatric epilepsy is founded in the relationships she builds with families. “Epilepsy can be challenging to navigate! It is a privilege to be able to provide education, compassion, and guidance for patients and their families every step of the way”. Dr. Ahrens’ clinical areas of expertise and research interests include epilepsy surgery and intractable epilepsy management. She is well published in epilepsy surgery practice and epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) practice, including authorship on the recent National Accreditation of Epilepsy Center (NAEC) Specialized Epilepsy Center Guidelines.
