Dr. Shatzmiller was first drawn to the medical field while working in a research hospital. "When I saw the physicians in action, I realized this was my true calling," he explains. "There is something about using all of your resources to alleviate the suffering of other human beings that is exciting, noble and important." Dr. Shatzmiller enjoys making a difference in his patients' lives by explaining what is happening, managing expectations and offering comfort and support.
