Neurologist Rene Colorado, MD, PhD, medical director for the Stroke Center at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, joined the hospital’s medical staff in April 2017. He is also affiliated as adjunct faculty with the Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. He earned his medical degree and a doctorate of philosophy in biomedical sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. He completed a Neurology residency at the Harvard Neurology Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr Colorado furthered his medical training with a fellowship in Vascular Neurology (Stroke) at the University of California, San Francisco.
