Mark Garrett, MD

Mark Garrett, MD, was born in Portland, Oregon, but spent most of his childhood in Denver. Dr. Garrett earned his BS in neuroscience at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at Barrow Neurological Institute at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. While a neurosurgery resident at Barrow, Dr. Garrett completed fellowships in complex spinal disorders and stereotactic radiosurgery. He also spent time in Tanzania, Africa, where he was part of a Barrow initiative to train neurosurgeons in developing countries.
