Dr. Brchan was born in Los Angeles, California and is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Iowa, Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA. Her residency and fellowship were in Pediatric Neurology at the University of Colorado/Children's Hospital Colorado. She also completed an additional fellowship in Headache Medicine at Children's Mercy Kansas City. Dr. Brchan is double board-certified in pediatric neurology and headache medicine with the unique experience of being only one of two pediatric neurologists in the state of Alaska for about 2 years.
