Dr Nitish Kumar earned his medical degree from Patna Medical College in Bihar, India. He went on to complete a residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and a Fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Dr Kumar is proud to be a part of a health system bringing the latest advancements in neurology to Central Alabama. Board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology, Dr Kumar is a proud member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Stroke Association/American Heart Association, and Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology. His clinical interests include stroke, brain aneurysm and hemorrhage, cerebral vascular malformation, stenting and angioplasty.
